ROANOKE, Va.
On September 12, 2024, the Star City Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, in collaboration with the Roanoke Police Gang Interdiction Unit, conducted a narcotics operation that led to the arrest of a known violent gang member in Roanoke.
During the investigation, task force members, alongside the Virginia State Police Special Operations Division, executed two search warrants in the 3800 block of Panorama Ave, NW, and the 3200 block of Hershberger Rd, NW.
The operation resulted in the seizure of approximately 626 grams of heroin/fentanyl, 75 grams of cocaine, eight firearms, and a quantity of U.S. currency.
Anthony Brehon Reese, 32, of Roanoke, was arrested and faces charges including Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine, Possession of Firearms by a Convicted Felon, and Possession of a Firearm while in possession of Schedule I/II narcotics.
He is currently held at the Roanoke Adult Detention Center without bond.
Additional charges are expected following discussions with the City of Roanoke Commonwealth Attorney’s Office.
