FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. – Virginia State Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a Glade Hill woman on Thursday afternoon.
The crash occurred at approximately 1:50 p.m. on September 25 along Route 834, about two-tenths of a mile south of Route 1129 in Franklin County.
According to authorities, a 2006 Subaru Legacy was traveling north on Route 834 when the vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned.
The driver, identified as 72-year-old Kathy Jean Turman of Glade Hill, was pronounced dead at the scene.
State Police confirmed that Turman was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
No other vehicles were involved.

So unfortunate! Even when wearing her seatbelt, accidents can still happen. This reminds us how fragile life is; things can change as quickly as the rhythm in Friday Night Funkin'. Sending deep condolences to Kathy Jean Turman's family.
This is such sad news - I am truly sorry to the family of the Glade Hill woman and the others affected by this accident. It really shows how fragile life is and how quickly things can change on the road. I pray the investigation is revealing and justice is served.
