Shooting Suspect Arrested in Eden; Facing Multiple Felony Charges

EDEN NC (BTW21) A suspect is in custody following a shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon in Eden.
Officers with the Eden Police Department responded swiftly to a report of shots fired in the 700 block of McConnell Avenue at approximately 1:57 P.M.
According to police, officers arrived on the scene within two minutes and apprehended the suspect, identified as Tashsean Jahki Noel, 25, of Burlington, North Carolina.
Following an extensive investigation, the Eden Police Department formally charged Noel with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, both felony offenses.
Noel was taken to the Rockingham County Jail, where he is being held on a $250,000 secured bond.
He is scheduled to appear in Wentworth District Court on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 9:00 A.M.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
