Sheriff's Office seeking identity of alleged thief caught on surveillance video

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, NC – The Rockingham County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in identifying an alleged thief.


On August 22 at around 3:36 AM, a man was captured on surveillance camera during a breaking and entering and theft from Budget Inn Motel in Madison, N.C.


The sheriff's office says the suspect broke into an unoccupied motel room and stole a Insignia brand flat screen TV and a mini fridge.


Anyone who recognizes the suspect in these photos or has information about this crime is asked to call the sheriff's office at 336-634-3232 or the Rockingham County Crime Stoppers Tipline at 336-349-9683. Crime Stoppers pay cash up to $1,000 for tips on crimes leading to an arrest.
