HENRY COUNTY, VA – A second person in Henry County has died after contracting COVID-19.
Nancy Bell, the spokesperson for the West Piedmont Health District said privacy laws don’t allow the Virginia Department of Health to identify the person or to provide any other details.
The patient was hospitalized at Sovah Health in Martinsville.
“We can confirm that we have had a death of a patient who tested positive for COVID-19 today. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family that lost their loved one,” hospital spokesperson Kelly Fitzgerald said.
