ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, NC – Monday, Sheriff Sam Page took his Oath of Office, thus beginning his sixth term as Sheriff of Rockingham County in North Carolina. The oath was administered to Sheriff Page by Rockingham County Chief Superior Court Judge Ed Wilson. The Sheriff's wife and mother stood by his side as he took his oath in front of a courtroom full of friends, Deputies, Detention Officers and their families.
After being sworn-in, Sheriff Page addressed those in attendance, thanking them for their support, hard work and for granting he and the personnel at the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office, the opportunity to continue to serve for four more years.
The Sheriff's Deputies were then sworn-in and simultaneously took their oaths of office, followed by the Rockingham County Detention Center personnel. A reception followed for Rockingham County Sheriff's Office personnel and guests.
