MARTINSVILLE – A new car wash option is coming to Martinsville.
Rivers Edge Express Car Wash will be located next to Chopstix on Commonwealth Boulevard and will offer a three-minute car wash.
Rivers Edge comes from Mount Airy, North Carolina, where they opened in 2018.
Owner Rick Vaughn told BTW21, they chose Martinsville because it has “the same market as Mount Airy.”
The location will also offer multiple car wash options and will include free vacuums with the purchase of a wash.
Vaughn said they are thinking of changing the name and logo for Martinsville, to be race-based because of the Martinsville Speedway.
For a monthly payment, customers can obtain a fast pass, a window sticker with a chip embedded, which allows for unlimited washes.
Vaughn said there are around 2,800 monthly members at the North Carolina location.
This new business is expected to hire 15 to 18 employees.
The drive-through express wash will accept credit cards and cash.
They hope to open in September of next year.
