HENRY COUNTY, VA – Many are in the dark Friday evening due to high winds and heavy rainfall from a cold front.
According to Appalachian Power, 517 Henry County residents and 132 Martinsville residents are without power as of 11:30 p.m.
There is no estimate time of restoration for those impacted from the storm. As for the rest of the night, rain will exit and winds will continue to howl overnight with clear skies.
Sustained winds will be from 10 to 20 miles per hour with gust up to 30 miles per hour.
Saturday will feature a mostly sunny sky with 10 to 25 miles per hour northwest winds.
Overnight lows will range in the low to mid 30’s, and diminishing winds late at night.
Sunday will be another sunny day, highs in the 60’s, and calmer winds.
Overnight lows stay in the 30’s with clear skies.
