MARTINSVILLE, VA – While most were ending the weekend with summertime activities, Mother Nature decided to throw a curveball in those plans with strong to severe thunderstorms.
This prompted severe thunderstorms and flood alerts for the coverage area on Sunday evening.
According to Appalachian Power, the following locations are currently without power as of 11 a.m. Monday:
Franklin County: 1,052
Patrick County: 83
Henry County: 17
An estimated time of when electricity will be restored is not available at this time.
