Police: Woman hit boyfriend, dragged son with car in Henry County



HENRY COUNTY, VA – A woman has been charged after Virginia State Police say she hit her boyfriend and dragged her son with a car on Monday evening.


The incident unfolded in the parking lot of Riverside Tire Service on Dye Plant Road in Henry County around 4:45 p.m.


According to state police, a female driver in a Ford Fusion intentionally struck her boyfriend and injured him as he was walking away after a brief conversation.


Police say the man was partially in the car and the son was at the window when she accelerated and dragged the son causing him injury.


The female driver struck a silver Cadillac and then proceeded to flee the scene.


The Martinsville Police Department located the woman at her residence and she was taken into custody without incident.


According to court records, Tiffany Simmons Cole of Martinsville was charged with misdemeanor reckless driving on parking lot.
