MARTINSVILLE, VA – On Monday afternoon, the Martinsville Police Department received a report regarding a 16-year-old female who had run away from home.
According to the report, the juvenile was last seen in the vicinity of Mulberry Road and Meadowview Lane.
During the course of the investigation, officers learned that the juvenile had been in contact with a 31-year-old male identified as Cody Lee Lopez of Houston, Texas.
Lopez had traveled to the Martinsville area to pick up the juvenile.
On Tuesday morning, Lopez and the juvenile were located in Charlotte, North Carolina by the United States Marshals.
Lopez was arrested and charged with abduction and computer solicitation of a minor, he is being held in North Carolina awaiting extradition to Virginia.
This case is under investigation.

MARTINSVILLE, VA – Police in Martinsville are looking for a runaway teen.
Danielle Rayne Trapp, 16, was last seen on Monday wearing a light pink shirt with a skull on it, black shorts with flowers, and carrying a backpack that says “Daptized” with Tupac and Ice Cube on it.
She has a tattoo on her right front arm that reads, “It’s a bad day, not a bad life.”
She also has a pierced nose and a pierced lip.
The missing poster by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children did not provide other descriptive characteristics.
