Person ends up at hospital after spray of gunfire in Henry County




HENRY COUNTY, VA – A rapid spray of gunfire left a person injured in Collinsville on Sunday morning.


The Henry County Sheriff's Office responded to the area of the 1700 block of Virginia Avenue after the 9-1-1 center was bombarded with calls of shots fired.


According to radio traffic, multiple shots were fired striking one person and the Enterprise Rent-A-Car building.


When law enforcement arrived at the scene of the incident, many vehicles scattered from the area.


Minutes later, the Martinsville Police Department was called to Sovah Health hospital after a vehicle ended up at the emergency room with a gunshot wound victim.


The condition of the victim is unknown at this time.
