[Wentworth, N.C.]— Yesterday, around 3 p.m., a man armed with a shotgun entered the Dollar General located at 3413 US158 East Reidsville, NC, went to the office where the employee was located, and demanded money. The employee explained to the suspect that there was no money on-hand to give him at which point the suspect fled the store on foot into the surrounding area. The employee did not suffer any physical injuries as a result of the encounter.
A manhunt for the suspect ensued and Rockingham County Sheriff's Deputies located and arrested TIMMY LEE BAILEY, 21, of 678 Bob Gauldin Rd. Pehlam, NC in connection with the attempted armed robbery at Dollar General.
TIMMY LEE BAILEY was charged with felony Attempted Armed Robbery and was placed in the Rockingham County Detention Center under a $250,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 22nd.
