MARTINSVILLE, VA – A man is in the hospital with serious injuries following a pedestrian vs. vehicle incident.
Sunday at around 10:20 a.m., the Martinsville Police Department was called to the intersection of Booker Road and East Church Street for incident.
According to the police department, a man carrying a laundry basket was crossing on the crosswalk at the intersection of Booker Road and East Church Street when he was hit by a Saturn four-door vehicle that had the green light.
Police said the victim did not use the crosswalk button.
No charges are pending at this time.
The incident remains under investigation.
