Pedestrian hit by vehicle in Stanleytown, transported to hospital

STANLEYTOWN – A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Friday morning in Stanleytown.
The incident occurred in the 900 block of Fairystone Park Highway at around 8:35 AM.
Bassett Volunteer Fire Department Chief Junior Lynch told BTW21 News that a man crossing the highway was hit by a NAPA Auto Parts vehicle.
The individual was transported to Sovah Health in Martinsville by the Henry County Department of Public Safety.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office also responded.
Does anyone know who the pedestrian was? my thoughts and prayers go out to the victim whoever he or she was and there family, does anyone know how the person doing? Any update
