HENRY COUNTY, VA – A woman died Wednesday night after being struck by a vehicle in Henry County.
The crash occurred at around 10:30 p.m. in 5100 block of Lee Ford Camp Road, just east of Route 692.
According to Virginia State Police, a 2002 Chevrolet Venture was headed west on Lee Ford Camp Road, when the vehicle struck a pedestrian who was laying down in the travel lane.
The pedestrian was identified as 46-year-old Stephanie Vanantwerp Davis of Ridgeway.
State police say it is unclear why Davis was in the roadway.
The driver of the Chevrolet was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.

The Horsepasture Volunteer Fire Department responded to the 5100 block of Lee Ford Camp Road at about 10:30 p.m. for a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle.
