Updated: Oct 24, 2019

MARTINSVILLE – Piedmont Access to Health Services, Inc. (PATHS) a healthcare provider with multiple facilities in South Central Virginia is expanding.

"We've been in Martinsville and serving the area for many years with our health center. By opening the pharmacy, we're opening up the ability for our patients to get their medications quicker," PATHS CEO Marsha Mendenhall told BTW21.

Tuesday morning, officials cut the ribbon at the new PATHS Community Pharmacy on Brookdale Street in Martinsville.

"We have a full line of prescription products, over the counter, cards and we offer a drive-up service and home delivery," Tony Pratt, PATHS Community Pharmacy Director said.

PATHS says its mission is to provide healthcare to all citizens regardless of their ability to pay.

"If someone is uninsured and low-income, we can work with the pharmaceutical companies directly and try to get them medications that don't cost them hardly anything. We also have sliding fee in this pharmacy, which means according to your household income and if you are our patient, we can slide out some fees to make it more reasonable," Mendenhall added.
