Pageant will benefit Martinsville-Henry County Warming Center

BASSETT – Lasting Beauty Foundation for Girls is presenting Miss Shining Light on Saturday, January 25, at the HJDB Event Center in Bassett.


Twenty percent of ticket sales will benefit the Martinsville-Henry County Warming Center and gloves and socks will be accepted at the door.


The contestants are also collecting gloves and socks as their community service component of competition.


The pageant begins at 2 PM and will showcase areas of competition of Gown and Winter Wonderland Outfit of Choice.


Original music by Boones Mill Baptist Church praise ministry leader, Timothy Johnson, will be featured during the event.


There will also be a special performance by the Franklin County High School JV Cheer Squad.


Lasting Beauty Foundation for Girls will crown eight age division titles and a Supreme Miss Shining Light, as well as award titles for Miss Interview, Miss Community Service, Miss Essay, and Ambassador.


All contestants will receive a gift for participating.
