NARCOTICS SEARCH WARRANT EXECUTED AT 607 LONGVIEW DRIVE IN BASSETT

BASSETT, VA — The Henry County Sheriff’s Office executed a narcotics search warrant Wednesday evening at a residence in the Bassett community following an ongoing investigation into suspected illegal drug activity.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies served the warrant at approximately 8:30 PM at 607 Longview Drive.
The warrant was obtained after the VICE and Narcotics Interdiction Unit received multiple community complaints alleging possible narcotics distribution at the home.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team made entry into the residence, where investigators conducted a detailed search.
Authorities say they located methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl, and Suboxone inside the home.
Two individuals were taken into custody and charged:
• Sarah Burnette Foster, 37, of 607 Longview Drive, Bassett– Charged with Possession of Schedule I or II Drugs (VA Code 18.2-250)– Held without bond
• Pierre Quartez Scales, 35, of 900 Rives Road, Martinsville– Charged with Resisting Arrest / Obstructing Justice without Threats of Force (VA Code 18.2-460)– Charged with Possession of Schedule III Drugs (VA Code 18.2-250)– Held on a $2,500 secured bond
Sheriff Wayne Davis emphasized the department's commitment to combating illegal drug activity, stating:“Drug dealers who poison our neighborhoods will find no safe haven in Henry County.
We have zero tolerance for those who choose to bring illegal narcotics into our communities, and we will continue to aggressively investigate and remove these individuals to keep our citizens safe.”

Crime Stoppers offers rewards of up to $2,500 for information leading to an arrest and conviction. All callers remain anonymous.
