Collinsville man arrested after undercover drug investigation



COLLINSVILLE – The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has concluded an undercover drug investigation into the distribution of cocaine. 


On December 5, 2019, Henry County Sheriff’s Office investigators along with agents from the Virginia State Police and Department of Motor Vehicles executed search warrants at A&E Auto Sales, 4000 Virginia Ave., Collinsville, VA and 359 Paul St., Collinsville, VA.


The searches yielded in excess of one pound of cocaine, a small quantity of marijuana, 3 firearms and $10,179 in U.S. Currency. 


The approximate street value of the narcotics is in excess of $20,000. 


The suspected narcotics will be submitted to the Virginia Department of Forensic Science for analysis.


In addition 7 vehicles, 1 boat, 1 ATV and 1 trailer were seized during the course of this operation.


Tamon Dorell Witcher, 31, of 359 Paul St., Collinsville, Virginia was arrested and charged with the following.


Possession of a schedule II controlled substance with intent to distribute (felony).


Tamon Dorell Witcher was released on a $7500.00 unsecured bond.


This matter remains under investigation, additional charges are anticipated in regards to this ongoing investigation.

COLLINSVILLE – The Henry County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at an auto sales business in Collinsville.


Deputies responded to A & E Auto Sales on Virginia Avenue Thursday morning on what was reported as a drugs-related investigation.


The investigation has reportedly been ongoing over the course of several months.
