Mulberry Creek Assisted Living to Close at Year’s End After Years of Service to Martinsville Community

MARTINSVILLE, VA — After decades of serving local residents with compassion and care, Mulberry Creek Assisted Living has announced it will close its doors on December 31.
In a heartfelt message shared with the community, the facility’s leadership reflected on the many years spent supporting residents and their families, calling the closure “the end of an era” and a time to “reflect on the countless memories, friendships, and lives touched within our walls.”
“We are deeply grateful to every resident who called Mulberry Creek Assisted Living Center home, to the families who entrusted us with their loved ones’ care, and to the incredible team members who poured their hearts into making this a place of comfort, dignity, and joy,” the statement read.
Mulberry Creek officials say they are working closely with residents and families to ensure smooth transitions into new housing arrangements before the end of the year.
Employees will not be left behind — staff members are being offered positions at Mulberry Creek Nursing & Rehab Center, along with paid training opportunities to earn certified nursing assistant (CNA) licenses.
The facility extended its appreciation to the Martinsville community for years of support and partnership.
“We are thankful for being a part of the Martinsville community for many years and thank you to everyone for your support,” the statement concluded.
Mulberry Creek Assisted Living has long been recognized for its dedication to providing quality care and a warm, home-like environment for seniors in Martinsville and surrounding areas.
Its closing marks the end of a cherished chapter in the community’s story.
