MISSING PERSON ALERT: Rockingham County Authorities Searching for Endangered Madison Man

MADISON, N.C. (BTW21) — The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for 58-year-old Bobby Tracy Travis, who was reported missing on July 11, 2025. Mr.
Travis was last seen four days earlier, on the evening of July 7 at approximately 11:00 p.m., at his residence located at 124 Grove Drive in Madison.
According to officials, Mr. Travis was last known to be wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans, and an unknown color of Nike Air Force One sneakers.
He reportedly left his home driving a silver 2010 Honda CR-V bearing North Carolina registration LJH-9692.
Family members say Mr. Travis suffers from cognitive issues, raising serious concerns for his safety.
He has been officially entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database as MISSING/ENDANGERED, and a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) alert has been issued across North Carolina and neighboring states.
Authorities note that Mr. Travis is known to enjoy visiting mountainous regions and areas near large bodies of water, but his intended destination is unknown at this time.
The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone who has seen Mr. Travis or has any information about his whereabouts to contact them immediately at 336-634-3232, call 911, or notify your local law enforcement agency.

He's my uncle and he was found on July 12 at 1am in Nightdale near or in Raleigh NC the cops checked him and sent him on his way hes not been seen or heard from since then again.. he has paranoid schizophrenia really bad and we are so worried but he normally don't miss his pay day since my grandma is his paye hes gotta get his money from her on the 3rd so we pray we hear from him then if not something has to be wrong...
