Missing 17-year-old girl sought by Henry County Sheriff's Office returns home




UPDATE: Captain Wayne Davis of the Henry County Sheriff’s Office notified BTW21 News on Tuesday evening that Marleny Rodríguez has returned home and is safe.



 


HENRY COUNTY, VA – Law enforcement in Henry County are asking for the public's help finding a 17-year-old girl who went missing after she was picked up a friend.


Captain Wayne Davis of the Henry County Sheriff’s Office says Marleny Suzette Rodríguez was last seen on May 22, but was not reported missing by family members until Tuesday morning.


Davis says Rodríguez has contacted family via text messages.


She is a Hispanic female with brown eyes, stands 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 125 pounds.


Rodríguez has brown hair with purple streaks and was last seen being picked up in a gold older model Toyota Camry with temporary tags, according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.


NCMEC says she requires medication and may be in need of medical attention.
