MADISON, N.C. (BTW21) — A sweeping law enforcement operation on July 3 has led to a drug-related arrest and deepened investigations into a missing person case and a fatal overdose — all tied to properties on Angell Road in Madison.

The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and local police departments in Eden and Madison, executed search warrants at 1295, 1297, and 1390 Angell Road as part of a lengthy investigation by the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations and Narcotics Divisions.

As a result of the search at 1295 Angell Road, 27-year-old Andrew Michael Marshall was arrested and charged with:

  • Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, and Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Substance (PWIMSD SCH II CS)

  • Felony Possession of Methamphetamine

Marshall was brought before a magistrate and given a $2,500 secured bond.

He is currently being held in the Rockingham County Detention Facility and is scheduled to appear in District Court on September 23, 2025.

In a statement, the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the same properties searched during the operation are also linked to two major ongoing investigations:

  • 45-year-old Harry Lee Willard was last reported seen at one of the Angell Road addresses before being reported missing on January 21, 2025. He remains missing, and authorities are continuing their active investigation into his disappearance.

  • Additionally, the property at 1295 Angell Road is the location where 40-year-old Jason Douglas Crawford was found deceased from an apparent drug overdose on November 2, 2024. That incident also remains under investigation.

The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information related to Harry Lee Willard’s disappearance or the death of Jason Douglas Crawford to come forward. You can contact:
