Martinsville Celebrates Summer Graduates

MARTINSVILLE, Va. — Martinsville City Public Schools celebrated its summer graduates during a special ceremony recognizing their determination, perseverance and accomplishments.
Dr. Dixon encouraged the graduates to believe in themselves and remain focused on their futures.
“Always remember that you hold the key to your destiny,” Dixon told the graduates. “No one else can determine who you will be or what you will become.”
Dixon reminded the students that they had already overcome challenges to reach graduation and encouraged them to view the milestone as another step toward future success.
School officials congratulated the graduates for setting goals, working hard and refusing to give up. They also reminded the students that regardless of where their next chapter takes them, they will always be Bulldogs.
