Man found near dumpsters of KFC in Collinsville identified

COLLINSVILLE, VA – No foul play is suspected after a man’s body was found behind a Kentucky Fried Chicken on November 23.

At around 7 a.m. that day, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office responded to the restaurant located on Virginia Avenue after receiving a call about a body being found.

Upon arrival, deputies say they found a man's body in the rear parking lot near the dumpsters.

Evidence at the scene could indicate a possible drug overdose, according to the sheriff's office.

The medical examiner identified the man as Joseph Jason Denoto, 40, of Old Ferrum Road in Ferrum.

Authorities say autopsy results show no apparent signs of murder or foul play.

The completed autopsy report is pending additional testing.
