Authorities reveal identity of man flown to hospital after shooting in Collinsville

COLLINSVILLE, VA – The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has identified the 28-year-old man who was flown to the hospital after a shooting in Collinsville.


Thursday at 11:49 p.m., the sheriff’s office responded to the mobile home park on South Creek Court in reference to a shooting call.


Deputies say they located Jose Lorenzo Justice, of Collinsville, in the roadway with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the chest.


Justice was airlifted to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital where he is being treated, according to the sheriff’s office.

Investigators say illegal narcotics were seized inside the home of the victim where the incident is believed to have occurred.

Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is asked to contact the Henry County Sheriff’s Office at 276-638-8751 or the Crimestoppers Program at 276-632-7463. The Crimestoppers Program offers rewards up to $2,500 for information related to crime. The nature of the crime and the substance of the information determine the amount of reward.
