HENRY COUNTY, VA – A driver was airlifted to the hospital after a crash near Ridgeway.
The Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Department was called at 6:48 p.m. on Thursday to the vehicle crash on Route 220 near Matrimony Creek Road.
Ridgeway Fire Department Chief Earl Emerson told BTW21 News it appears the Chevrolet vehicle was traveling northbound when it ran off the left side of the highway and struck the median, ejecting the male driver.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash and it was not immediately known how it was caused.
Virginia State Police continues to investigate the incident.
