ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, NC – A 57-year-old man has been arrested for siphoning and stealing diesel fuel from buses parked at two Rockingham County schools.
Investigators said the value of the fuel stolen is estimated at $780 from buses at Huntsville Elementary School and $750 from buses at McMichael High School.
Gary Duane Pacheco, of 180 Kirk Lane in Madison, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor larceny.
Pacheco was placed in the Rockingham County Detention Facility under a $1,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on August 24.
This investigation is ongoing and additional charges are anticipated.
