COLLINSVILLE, VA – A woman was stabbed multiple times at an apartment in Collinsville on Friday afternoon.
Deputies were called to the apartment building on Halifax Drive at around 4:22 p.m. and say they found a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds.
26-year-old John Wright Goodman, of Henry Street in Stanleytown, and the victim got into an argument about living arrangements, according to authorities.
When Goodman got to Halifax Drive to get his belongings, he saw the victim exit a neighboring apartment.
Investigators said Goodman became upset, approached the victim and stabbed her in the back with a knife.
The victim was transported to Sovah Health in Martinsville for non-life-threatening injuries.
Goodman was found walking on Halifax Drive and was taken into custody without incident.
He has been charged with malicious wounding and is currently held at the Henry County Adult Detention Center with no bond.
