MARTINSVILLE, VA – A man is jail for shooting at a person’s vehicle several times in Martinsville.
The Martinsville Police Department received a call regarding a fight in progress with shots fired in the area of Armstead Avenue last Thursday at about 6:15 p.m.
A short time after the call, the victims came to the police department to report they had been shot on Armstead Avenue.
According to police, no one was injured in the incident.
However, the police department said the victim’s vehicle was struck several times by gunfire.
36-year-old Anthony Eugene Moore, of 515 Armstead Avenue, was arrested Tuesday for the shooting.
He was charged with:
Shooting into an occupied vehicle
Possession of a firearm by a violent felon
Reckless handling of a firearm
Discharging a firearm within the City of Martinsville
Moore is being held at the Martinsville City Jail without bond.
