Man arrested following lockdown at Henry County elementary school

HENRY COUNTY, VA – A Bassett is behind bars after he made a concerning call to an elementary school, according to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.


On Tuesday at around 10:38 a.m. the staff at Campbell Court Elementary School received a call from the spouse of an employee.


The Sheriff’s Office said school staff were concerned about the call they received.


As a safety precaution and according to their safety plan, students and teachers enacted a lockdown.


Authorities said they and school officials worked together to ensure students and staff were safe.

Brock Addison Stanley, 34, of Meadowgreen Drive in Bassett was charged with three misdemeanor counts of violation of a protective order for making the call.


Stanley is currently held in the Henry County Jail without bond.

The Crimestoppers Program offers rewards up to $2,500.00 for information related to crime. The nature of the crime and the substance of the information determine the amount of reward paid.
