FRANKLIN COUNTY, VA – A 21-year-old man has been arrested and charged after he broke into a home early Sunday morning.
Around 4:35 a.m., the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office was called the 4000 block of Hardy Road for a possible breaking and entering in progress.
Deputies say they responded and the homeowner was able to provide them surveillance video from outside of the home, which showed a clear description of the suspect and what he was wearing.
While searching the area, deputies found Alexander Bryce Gill, of Hardy, who matched the physical description of the suspect and was wearing the same clothing as seen in the surveillance video, according to the sheriff's office.
Gill was arrested and charged with two felony counts of statutory burglary of dwelling and two felony counts of intentionally damaging property over $1,000.
He is being held without bond at the Western Virginia Regional Jail.
