FIELDALE – A man was arrested after he drove into a Fieldale convenience store to rob it on Monday night.

At around 11:30 PM, a green Jeep Cherokee drove into Rangeley 102 Mini Market & Deli located on Dillons Fork Road.

According to the Martinsville-Henry County 9-1-1 Center, the drive of the SUV fled the scene after the incident and was arrested on Route 58 in Patrick County later that night.

The sheriff's office says the suspect, Glynn Camp, was charged with burglary, felony vandalism and petit larceny.

He is currently held in the Patrick County Jail without bond.

The owner told BTW21 News that Camp stole multiple packets of cigarettes and some beer.

The convenience store was closed Tuesday for the repair of the damage.
