HENRY COUNTY, VA – Strong to severe storms dumped heavy rain across Martinsville and Henry County on Thursday, flooding roads and bringing down at trees.
The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for Henry County and surroundings areas.
According to the weather service, the North Mayo River near Spencer was at 9.58 feet and rising.
Flood stage is 8 feet, and moderate flood stage is 11 feet.
This is the highest stage since January 2010 on this gauge.
