HENRY COUNTY, VA – A 22-year-old woman was struck by lightning in Henry County on Tuesday night.
According to the Martinsville-Henry County 9-1-1 Center, a Henry County deputy at the adult detention center got a call that the woman was struck by lightning.
Around 8:45 p.m., the Henry County Department of Public Safety responded to the 1000 block of Morningside Drive in Bassett for a report that the victim had a decreased level of consciousness.
Paramedics tended to the woman at the scene and she was not taken to the hospital.
