Jersey Mike's Subs in Martinsville looking to open next month

MARTINSVILLE, VA – The opening of Jersey Mike's Subs in Martinsville is projected to be early September, Kyle Potvin, a spokesperson for the company confirmed on Thursday.


The New Jersey-based chain of sub shops will be housed in The Shoppes at Liberty Crossing, located at the corner of Commonwealth Boulevard East and Liberty Street.


BTW21 News was the first to officially confirm that Starbucks, which opened on July 2, and Jersey Mike's were coming to the shopping center.


There has not been an update on the relocation of Patrick Henry Mall's Domino's Pizza to Liberty Crossing, but you can count on us to keep you informed.



 


AUGUST 30, 2021 UPDATE


MARTINSVILLE, VA – We continue to learn more about the new Jersey Mike's Subs location coming to Martinsville.


The New Jersey-based chain of sub shops, which will be located in the city, is expected to open mid-2022.


“Hopefully in a few months, we will be able to confirm address and more details once everything is in place,” a spokesperson told BTW21 News.


A Domino's Pizza location is coming the corner of Commonwealth Boulevard East and Liberty Street.


There has also been talk that a Starbucks will be housed there.


We have been unsuccessful in confirming this with the Starbucks Corporation, however, community leaders have said that a national coffee chain is coming.

MARTINSVILLE, VA – The social media rumors are true!


Jersey Mike's Subs, a New Jersey-based chain of sub shops, plans to open a location in Martinsville.


“We do have a location planned for Martinsville. The exact opening timing has not been finalized,” a spokesperson told BTW21 News.


The spokesperson said they are in the early stages of this franchise location and could not advise where exactly and when they plan to open.


The rumors shared on Facebook also talked about a Starbucks.


When contacted via email a representative stated, “At this time, there is no information about this.”
