BASSETT – A dual response consisting of of Bassett Volunteer Fire Company and Patrick-Henry Volunteer Fire Department was called to 1250 Jarrett Drive in Bassett. Dual response is a procedure in which fire stations request response from neighboring departments to ensure quicker response. The fire closed the road minutes after 3 PM Tuesday. Radio traffic stated that the cause of the fire was intentIonal. Most of the fire damage was done to the interior of the trailer home with nothing to little damage to the exterior. No one was injuried. Basset Rescue Squad and Henry County Public Safety also responded to the scene.
