Huddleston Man Killed in Bedford County Motorcycle Crash

BEDFORD COUNTY, Va Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a Huddleston man Friday afternoon.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:24 p.m. on Moneta Road, about one-tenth of a mile north of Stoney Fork Road.
According to investigators, a 2024 Indian Super Chief motorcycle was traveling south on Moneta Road when it ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole.
The driver, identified as Frank Earnest West, 60, of Huddleston, was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash but died at the scene.
State police say the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
