Homeless man wanted for vandalism of Sheriff’s vehicle in Collinsville




COLLINSVILLE, VA – The Henry County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man wanted for the vandalism of a Patrick County Sheriff's vehicle.


Deputies were called to fas mart at 2758 Virginia Avenue in Collinsville on Tuesday around 9:30 p.m.


A store employee told deputies, a male shoplifted a case of Monster energy drinks and left the store.


Deputies say they made contact with Earl Horsley in the parking lot who matched the description given by the store employee.


Horsley did not have any of the stolen items on him when deputies talked to him and was let go, according to the sheriff’s office.


On Wednesday morning, deputies were called to Butch's Transmissions, located at 2726 Virginia Avenue, after a Patrick County Sheriff’s vehicle was vandalized during the night.


The patrol vehicle was parked outside the business that is next door to fas mart.


According to authorities, they discovered that Horsley threw the energy drinks at the vehicle, busting the windshield.


Horsley is wanted for destruction of property and shoplifting.


BTW21 News spoke to business owners and learned that the man was homeless and has caused problems in the past at 3 other business.


Henry County Sheriff Wayne Davis says they have seen a large influx of homeless people coming into the area since the Spring.
