Another Henry County person has passed away after contracting COVID-19, the West Piedmont Health District confirmed to BTW21 News on Wednesday.
The district's Population Health Manager, Nancy Bell, said she could not provide additional information on the death.
Bell also announced that three confirmed cases of the coronavirus were identified in Henry County on Tuesday, pushing its total to 91.
The new cases were one female and two males in their teens and 50s.
In Patrick County, a man and a woman in their 40s and 50s tested positive for the virus, bring the county's total to 16.
Two male teens were the reported cases in Martinsville increasing the city's total to 37.
Henry County has six hospitalizations and now three deaths, and Martinsville has four hospitalizations and one death.
The number of cases in Franklin County remains at 34 with three hospitalized and one death.
