MARTINSVILLE, VA – Martinsville was the only city in Virginia without any confirmed COVID-19 cases, but that charged after the health department announced two cases on Monday.
Nancy Bell, Population Health Manager of the Virginia Department of Health West Piedmont District, said two women, who have a history of travel, are isolated at home after contracting the coronavirus.
Bell said a woman in her 20s had suspected exposure to coronavirus cases while a woman in her 50s had known exposure to a case of the virus.
Their close contacts have been identified and were quarantined, according to Bell.
