Harvest Youth Board to host Easter egg hunts, book giveaway

HENRY COUNTY, VA – Are you looking for some fun Easter activities to do soon?

The Harvest Youth Board will hold their first annual Books and Bunnies event on April 9 at the Smith River Sports Complex Amphitheater located at 1000 Irisburg Road in Axton.

The event will have Easter egg hunts, crafts, fun activities, and free books for children 0-12 years old from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.

Participating organizations include Smart Beginnings of Martinsville & Henry County, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Blue Ridge, Martinsville-Henry County YMCA, Blue Ridge Regional Library, Piedmont Arts Teen Arts Council and others that will be announced soon.

The egg hunt for ages 0-5 will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. and the hunt for ages 6-12 will be from 11:15 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The Harvest Youth Board is looking for volunteers to make this event a fun day for local children and families.
