HENRY COUNTY – The School Board of Henry County approved the Superintendent’s recommendation to fill one administrative position at their June 21 meeting.
Antonio Hairston will be Supervisor of Regional Alternative. Hairston joined Henry County Public Schools in 2016 as a special education teacher following service to learners in Franklin County Public Schools and at Patrick Henry Community College.
“I am humbled and excited to serve as Supervisor of Regional Alternative at Center for Community Learning. My goal is to ensure that all students receive high quality instruction that allows them to be successful. I look forward to collaborating with students, parents, staff, and community partners to meet the needs of each student.”
The appointment was approved by the School Board after reconvening from closed session.
“The experience Mr. Hairston brings to the Regional Alternative program will ensure the continued growth and progress of the students who participate. I am very pleased to have him as part of the HCPS leadership team,” said Dr. Jared Cotton, Division Superintendent.
