HENRY COUNTY, VA – In accordance with the governor’s proclamation of Juneteenth as a Virginia holiday, government offices in Martinsville and Henry County will be closed Friday.
In Martinsville, city hall administrative offices, along with the public works shop will be closed.
The city's courts and their clerks’ office will continue operation.
The city says refuse collection service will continue, but there will be no bulk trash collection.
In Henry County, all county administration and public service authority offices will be closed.
Convenience centers for garbage disposal and recycling will be open.
Essential and public safety personnel will remain on duty in both localities.
