Fourth coronavirus-related death reported in Henry County



The West Piedmont Health District reported six confirmed COVID-19 cases and one death on Tuesday.


The district's Population Health Manager, Nancy Bell, confirmed the death to BTW21 News but could not provide additional information.


A Franklin County woman in her 70s and a Henry County man in his 40s tested positive for the virus.


In Martinsville, three females and one male in ages of 1-5 years, 40s, 50s and 70s were the reported cases.

Henry County's total is now at 228 cases with 22 hospitalizations and four deaths.

Martinsville has a total of 61 cases, including seven hospitalizations and one death.


In Franklin County, there are 52 cases with five hospitalizations and one death.

Patrick County has 40 cases with two hospitalizations and no deaths.
