HENRY COUNTY – Firefighters battled a brush fire along Route 220 in Henry County on Saturday afternoon.
At around 2 PM, the Horsepasture Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to William F Stone Highway just before the Route 58 exit for a brush fire.
The fire department says wind and dry bush were factors for the fire to start and travel uphill quickly.
Firefighters got the fire under control in approximately 45 minutes.
16 volunteers responded to the incident.
