Drugs, guns, cash and vehicles seized from Fieldale home

FIELDALE, VA – A 41-year-old Fieldale man is facing multiple charges after a drug bust on Thursday.


The search was done at his home in 100 block of Waycross Drive shortly after 8 a.m.

Henry County Sheriff's Office Captain Tim Compton said the following was seized during the search:

  • Suspected cocaine

  • Illegally possessed prescription pills

  • Multiple illegally possessed firearms

  • An undisclosed amount of cash

  • Seven vehicles


Captain Compton said other items indicative to the distribution of narcotics were found and seized as well.


The suspect, Chanton Lamonte Redd, was found in the bathroom and was arrested without incident, according to Compton.

Redd was charged with possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, possession with the intent to distribute hydrocodone and possession of firearm while in possession of schedule I/II.

He was taken to the Henry County Adult Detention Center, where he received a $4,000 secure bond.
