Domestic Assault Leads to Fatal Shooting in Roanoke

On October 27, 2024, at approximately 1:14 a.m., Roanoke E-911 alerted Roanoke Police to a domestic assault in progress in the 1400 block of Guildhall Ave NW.

While officers were en route, the situation escalated to a gunshot wound.

Upon arrival, they found an adult male who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The suspect fled on foot before police arrival but was quickly apprehended and taken into custody.

The suspect, Elexus Allen, has been charged with second-degree murder and is currently being held without bond at the Roanoke City Adult Detention Center.

This incident remains under investigation, and no further information will be released.
