RADFORD, VA – On Wednesday, Devonnte Holland, former Radford University and Martinsville High School men's basketball player was signed by KK Vardar, furthering his already successful basketball career.
KK Vardar is a basketball club based in Skopje, North Macedonia.
The team has won the Macedonian championship seven times and adding the gritty big can only help their chances in coming seasons.
Holland was a standout for the Martinsville Bulldogs during in route to their back to back Group 2 State Championship victories.
He continued this success at Radford finishing his career fifth at in field goal percentage, shooting 54.3 percent from the floor.
He averaged 5.2 points and 4.2 rebounds through four years with the Highlanders.
The Martinsville native appeared in 125 games, ranking ninth all-time in Radford program history.
He started 27 of his 31 games last year and recorded career-highs in points and rebounds.
Holland's senior season showed great efficiency as he shot nearly 60 percent from the field.
He tallied a career-high 19 points in the 73-60 victory over Campbell that season.
Holland has proven to be consistent throughout his career and only looks to further that with the international basketball club in years to come.
